One team, plan to service.

AVAS Automation is a Control4 certified smart home and security integrator in Toronto. For more than 20 years we have designed, installed and supported lighting, audio, home theatres, cameras and WiFi as one system for homes and cottages in Toronto, the GTA, Richmond Hill, Ajax, King City, Collingwood, The Blue Mountains and Muskoka.

New builds and renovations, a single room or a whole estate. Condos, houses, cottages and mansions. Many of our clients own more than one, and one team looks after all of them.

In 2026, Control4 gave AVAS Automation its Circle of Excellence recognition at CEDIA Expo, for the service we give our clients.

Service is the whole point.

A smart home keeps working because someone keeps looking after it. At AVAS Automation, that is the same team that built it.

  • A support line for clients, separate from sales
  • Every system labelled and documented
  • We take over systems other installers left behind

How Control4 support works

Real people. Our own crew.

Founded in 2010 by Dennis Costa and Paul Marques, who were already working in AV long before that. Today a team of about eight, and these are some of us.

We post the work every day on Instagram, from the rack to the reveal. 11.7K people follow along at @avas_automation.

We built the world's first home automation trailer.

A working Control4 smart home on wheels, with a theatre, a control wall, lighting and audio, shown at trade shows. Today it comes with us to the events we host, support or take part in.

The trailer story

The blue AVAS Automation home automation trailer set up indoors at a trade show, door open, with a screen above reading Come See What Your Home Is Missing
The theatre wall inside the AVAS trailer: a TV with a wood sound bar under it, between two round and two rectangular in-wall speakers
A touchscreen and three keypads on the trailer's control wall, with a ceiling camera above and an AVAS equipment rack beside them

Built with the builders.

On new builds and renovations we work alongside the builder and the designer from the start, so the wiring goes in once, before drywall.

“Their customer service was outstanding, and as someone who is very OCD about details, I was blown away by how clean the install was…”
