Yes, AVAS Automation plans camera positions at the free site visit so the driveway, the gate, each door and the sides of the house are covered, not just the porch a doorbell camera sees. Each camera is placed as close as practical, so a face or licence plate is as clear as it can be.

AVAS Automation chooses cameras rated for low light and places them with light on the driveway and doors, so a face at night is far more likely to be clear than a smear. A blurry night clip usually points to a cheap camera, a bad angle, or a camera too far from what it watches.

The outdoor cameras AVAS Automation installs are rated for Canadian winters, and they are wired, so there is no battery to die in the cold. During a power cut, the cameras stop with the rest of the house unless the recorder and network are on battery backup, which can be added. Ask about it at the site visit.

Only you and the people you choose: AVAS Automation sets up the app on your phones, so you watch live and find recordings yourself, and we only log in to your system when you ask us to for service. Cameras are aimed at your own property, not a neighbour's windows.

Often, partly: AVAS Automation checks what you have at the free site visit and keeps the cameras, cable and recorder that still do the job. We tell you plainly which pieces hold the system back, usually old low resolution cameras or WiFi cameras that keep dropping, and quote only what needs to change.
